Student can read in duple/triple meter and syncopations in the key of D Major/B minor, G Major including 3rd position (violins & violas) and 4th position (cellos).

Student can sightread in D and G Major in third position (all instruments) in duple and triple meter.

Child maintains sitting play position while playing.

Child can follow the conductor and demonstrates a consistent tempo.

Child can read and write (is able to take notes in the music).

Demonstrates responsibility with materials (instrument, pencil, music, stand).

Two memorized solos (includes a minor piece/passage)

Scales:

D Major 1 octave/b minor 1 octave

G Major 2 octaves/e minor 1 octave

C Major 2 octaves/a minor 1 octave

F Major 1 octave/d minor 1 octave

Sightreading in G or C major including 3rd position passages
