Ricardo is a veteran of the Banking/Wealth Management industries with over 35 years of experience at Citibank, JP Morgan Chase, North Fork/Capital One, New York Life and currently Metropolitan Commercial Bank. Ricardo earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from St. John’s University, was awarded his Master of Business Administration degree from Adelphi University School of Business and Banking, specializing in Management/Marketing and completed the Emerging Leaders Program at the University of Denver. Ricardo has been a strong supporter of countless non-profit organizations, schools, communities and volunteer initiatives including representing Capital One at then Mayor Bloomberg’s office during Opportunity NYC, an initiative to eliminate poverty in our neighborhoods and by raising funds for music students at St. Francis Prep High School to perform abroad. He also led the Capital One New York Hispanic Network, a 400 member employee resource group. Ricardo served on the Board of Directors of the Village Alliance, a business improvement district in Lower Manhattan and supported New York Hospital Queens to help increase blood donations via corporate partnership. His accomplishments were recognized with a Latino Trendsetter Award from Defining Trends Magazine at the United Nations. Ricardo benefited from a strong music education program at St. Francis Prep High School which helped shape his belief that with the proper guidance and support, children can further develop the confidence to fulfill their aspirations.
